荒凉浩瀚的西部，夜幕降临，悠扬的歌声回荡在戈壁的每一个角落。伴随着野狼的哀嚎，随风飘散远方。小动物们安然生活在自己的领地，人类也是如此，他们聚在一起，点燃篝火，自在歌唱。少女听到狼叫，心中升起疑问，大人则为女孩、男孩讲起了传奇牛仔佩克斯比尔的故事。古老的德州荒原，迎来了一辆脏兮兮的大篷车，还是孩子的佩克斯不小心从车上掉了下来，变成了孤儿。只能睡山洞的佩克斯得到善良的土狗妈妈的帮助，从此成了野兽的孩子。
成长的路上，佩克斯遇到了他心爱的小马，之后更变成无法无天的粗野牛仔，这个青年做了一系列改变西部的壮举。直到他邂逅了那迷人的女孩……

Unable to see in his search for a warm body to fully hatch him from his eggshell, Clem wanders into a barnyard and briefly cozies with a cow, which "golfs" him...
